Do you plan on going to college? If so, which one?

I’d really like to go to college, and it’s currently one of my biggest fears.

A friend of mine recently convinced me to try a career in art (I wanted to be a vet or something idk) I’m not really sure where I’d like to go, but possibly Ringling?? A&M if I really have to. Said friend also asked me if I wanted to go to a precollege program with him at RISD; anyone know if that’s a good place? So yeah I’m pretty lost and scared haha

guzusuru said: RISD’s a great place, but its illustration department is difficult to handle sometimes, and the school caters more to its graphic design department. But I have a bunch of friends who go there, so if you want info on it feel free to message me!

joliemignonne said: just remember when choosing colleges to consider ones that offer programs for art AND whatever medical stuff you would need to take to be a veterinarian,or other good careers. You don’t want to limit your options when it comes time to chose a major.

burntumbre said: I was playing around with going to a summer program at MICA because I really like Baltimore, MICA’s a pretty good school, and portfolio building help (I am lost in that department). Most colleges have summer programs, look around for one you like!
7u7 said: i think everyone feels scared about that and you can go for whatever career you want but yeah i think you would really succeed in art. you’re just incredible already.
zipra said: RISD is basically number 1-2 on the art school level. It’s an ive league school and it’s super hard to get into. ( well not super hard if have great grades as well as art ) It’s super prestigious and work heavy.
narrativepriorities said: RISD is one of the premiere art schools in the US. Don’t know much about their precollege program specifically, however.
aloice said: RISD is a really good place! One of my very artsy friends also applied to the Brown-RISD joint program and you could possibly look into that as well.
