just a question, what size canvas do you usually work on? because i'm having a hard time to make my work look detailed and it's tough deciding on what resolution to start with.
When I’m first sketching out ideas, I start with a 1000x1000 px canvas size. Then I crop it to fit how I want the composition to sorta be. As for making sharper details, it’s helpful to enlarge the sketch and work on top of that, then shrink it back down when done.
Example time! If I crop the canvas around the sketch down to 613x715; I’d make is larger depending on how detailed I intend to go. But for usual stuff, an exact 150% or 200% increase of the original size works for me. Though the larger you make it, the more tiny little details you can work in. ouo
